The Carter Family

Okay, so almost 3 months ago, due to the persistent nagging of my wonderful mother-in-law, I decided to attempt to join the blogging world as well as the 21st century. Resulting in this sad page. Somehow at that time I was delusional enough to believe that once summer was over and school began again I would actually achieve the ever-coveted status of "working schedule" with my children. Like I said -I was deluded! I somehow had envisions of children in school, and hours of free time in which I would find myself at the computer updating my quicken as well as my blog.
Even more visions of grandeur, I dreamed I would become a truly note-worthy Mormon mom. Or as I like to refer to her as "mother superior." If you are not familiar with the Mormon culture, mother superior is the ideal mother that actually keeps scrapbooks up to date. She also volunteers at her child's school on a regular basis and actually grinds up and uses her wheat while rotating my complete year of food storage. She achieves all of this while keeping herself in tip-top shape while wearing meticulous clothing and surprisingly uncomfortable shoes. Well, when it comes to me being classified as a mother superior, as Jake would put it I am either a "newb", or have "epically failed." (these are both World of Warcraft terms- which he probably doesn't want to admit to playing- but as the WoW vocubulary has began to come out of Tallie's mouth- he's day of reckoning has come! )
So the point to all this rambling, if you have found my blog.. be patient- it is very much a work in progress. (I keep bribing people to help me make it look decent and one day the generic slideshow of sunsets might transform to a slideshow of my children in hawaii in the sunset... just keep your fingers crossed!)

Has Heather Really learned how to use a computer?

Yes, we know, this is absolutely insane, Heather might actually learn how to post something online! I decided that maybe as summer and life in general are starting to slow a bit, that I might actually start to catch up to the 21st century... and because I am a strict believer that somethings were meant to have an age limit (such as myspace and facebook pages for people over 27 , as well as flowers being painted on my big toe during a pedicure) I am going to go the blogspot route. The really amazing thing will be if I actually somehow manage to download pictures.... but we will take it one day at a time!

No really, I actually decided to decifer the blogspot conundrum for Jake's parents and all of the other people who love our children, yet barely know what they look like- I am sooo bad about sending pictures, and I hate to say it, but man I have so adorable kids! So wish me luck!

(The really sad thing is that I actually had to take a ton of IT classes at the Y when I graduated in accounting, but at the time the internet was just starting to catch on. Now, I can barely manage to check my yahoo account once a week!)
