For those of you who don't know the story of the cougar, I will explain, but first you might need a little background. Jake HATES Pottery Barn, but unfortunately for him, I don't, and since I decorated our whole house, just about everything comes from that one particular store (and yes I know I am getting ripped off, but I don't know how to decorate so I just copy the catalog and there you go). So Jake knows how much I HATE dead animals- especially stuffed and displayed all proudly- like it took some great skill to go out into the woods and hunt down some poor defenseless animal with a gun. (And no I am not all anti-gun- and I am actually a pretty good shot thanks to my dad taking me out of French on Thursdays to go the the gun club with him on a regular basis) I just think it would be more of a fair fight if you were to take on the wild animal with say a knife.
Okay- so Jake decided to vex me and my Pottery-Barn-Decorated home by placing a big-ole-dead-stuffed Cougar right in the middle of my family room. You can see the cougar from every room in the house. Also, I guess, I should mention that Jake is a huge BYU cougar fan and the my Dad did actually kill the cougar (horrible- I know) and that it was the biggest cougar in Utah ever killed (186 lbs) so it kinda needed to stay in the family, but as my parents moved last year, my mom put down her foot and refused to let the thing come, our little Paul Anka found himself homeless. So Jake and my brother (and Matt- I will get you back for this one day) put the cougar up on the ledge in my house when I was 8 months pregnant with Tessa and couldn't do a dang thing about it.
So long story short, my shopping at pottery barn gets on Jake's nerves, so he put up a dead animal in the middle of my beautifully decorated home to vex my nerves, so then to get even with this, I started to decorate or (desecrate) the cougar to once again to get under Jake's skin. It is a vicious cycle I know! Good Fun! Anyone seen any cute cupid costumes for sale lately?
If you can't read the santa hat it says "Bah Humbug" fitting don't you think?
